You have access to the Birthing Center at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center which has private labor, delivery and recovery suites designed with your comfort in mind, and we also offer the option to have a nurse midwife support you throughout your pregnancy and delivery.

Obstetrics and neonatology rotations and our continuity patient deliveries take place at Aurora Sinai Medical Center. Aurora Health Care has designated the Aurora Sinai Women’s Health Services as a "Center of Excellence." The facilities that include labor suites, operating rooms, c-section rooms and recovery rooms, are among the best in the city of Milwaukee and provide outstanding care. In 2003, the maternity ward at Sinai was the only unit in the state to be awarded "Five Stars" from J. D. Power and Associates.

Milwaukee is fortunate to have an outstanding children's hospital located on the western edge of the city. Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is ranked as the 4th best Children's Hospital and 3rd ranked Pediatric ER in the country. The hospital is utilized for Family Medicine resident rotations in general-ward pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. The ER experience offers Family Medicine residents the opportunity to do first assessments on ill children and to determine their need for inpatient or outpatient services, as well as performing procedures such as lumbar punctures, IV placement, and laceration repair. In addition, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is available to Family Medicine residents for a variety of elective rotations in the pediatric subspecialties.
